A great combination for portrait photography: men, bikes and tattoos. Tom was a gracious participant modeling for us on the day. These photos were taken at ACCA, Malthouse Theatre and Organ Pipes National Park, using Nikon CLS speedlight off-camera.

Inspired by American photographer Clay Enos, i set up a quick outdoor studio to make these pictures of locals and shoppers passing by at Sparta Place, Brunswick which has a great corner cafe Tres Espresso and a growing collection of unique fashion boutiques.

I look for contrast as a feature when photographing babies and newborns. Here I love the contrast in size and tone.
Usually at this time of year i perform in a concert of Japanese Taiko drumming with our group class Wadaiko Rindo. I decided to take a break this past semester, so i had the opportunity to enjoy the performance from the audience – with my camera. Wadaiko Rindo is lead by Toshi Sakamoto.

I recently assisted on a wedding with my friend Ken of Hikari Photography. There are always great photo opportunities with the flower girls dressed up in their beautiful dresses and these girls were full of life and energy all day long.
